iPHONE 6 – REVIEWED

iPHONE 6 – REVIEWED

Few days ago, Apple launched its much anticipated iPhone 6 at an event held at the Silicon valley auditorium in California. It was the same location where Steve Jobs had unveiled the Macintosh PCs about 3 decades ago. Accompanying iPhone 6, there was another model named iPhone 6 plus and a smart watch(a first from Apple).
APPLE IPHONE 6 AND PLUS 6

SCREEN
NEW iPHONES
The iPhone6 will have a larger screen of 4.7” while the iPhone 6 plus features a mammoth 5.5” screen. Screen Resolution has been improved to 1334x750 pixels in iPhone6 and 1920x1080 pixels in 6 plus for a great display.
HARDWARE
Both phones are embedded with a new A8 Cortex processor and M8 graphics processor, which they say is 25x faster than the A7.The new iPhone is much slimmer and lighter. The design changes include bigger screen size and curved edges which look awesome.
CAMERA
The camera is the same with a 8MP rear and 1.2MP front camera with some minimal upgrades in the optics.
CONNECTIVITY
Apple is proudly exploring 4G LTE with a new feature called ’VoLTE’. The Wifi has become 3X faster. Users will be able to make regular phone calls over Wifi.

APPLE WATCH
APPLE WATCH
The auditorium erupted in cheers as Tim Cook proclaimed that he had ‘one more thing’. It was the company’s 1st completely new product in 4 years. Apple entered the world of wearable technology with Apple watch. And yes, it is not called ‘iWatch’.
The Apple watch is similar to the smartwatches available with some changes. It will be compatible with iPhone 5, 5S, 5C and the new ones.
In addition, Apple launched a new service called Apple Pay.
iPhone 6 and 6 plus will be available in India by Oct 17.
On the whole, this Apple event did not many eyebrow winking moments. The iPhone6 is a formidable one but anyone can doubt whether it will be able to compete against the rising Android smartphones.
“Change is the only thing that remains contant.”
We hope for better reformed devices soon.
