ONLINE SHOPPING GUIDE

Hello friends, this article is a continuation of the previous article, ONLINE SHOPPING – THE NEW MUSE. Hope that article has generated interests of some in you. Recently, there was a big 627 million $ investment in Snapdeal by Japanese firm Softbank. We have learnt to confidently buy products without the touch and feel aspect bothering us, we aren’t wary of making online payments and most importantly we have started trusting these online sites The market is grueling now. Let’s have a look at the steps how to proceed to online shopping
Step 1 : Research and Decide
Do an online search for the desired product. That's the first step for how to shop online. I also recommend doing research on the store or shopping site as well.
Step 2 : Compare Prices
Compare the prices and features and shipping conveniences offered from several sites. Make notes. The internet is a Comparison shopper's paradise. There's so much to choose from! But you have this advantage - you can take all the time you need to choose.
Step 3 : Decide the website you want to buy from
While doing this, check all the details of the website, the owners, the headquarters, site reviews, etc.
Step 4 : Look out at the security options
Make sure the shopping site's shopping system is secure, and offers the payment method you can or want to use. At the very least, read the "Terms of Service" and decide if you are ready to complete the transaction. Always check the ’https’ server.
Step 5 : Create an account on the site and log in
Step 6 : Add products to your cart
Carefully select the items from the seller and them to your cart. Beware, there are many sellers selling the same item but at different prices. carefully check each item for accuracy, and the shipping charges, if any. If the total comes to more than you planned to spend, you can click "remove" to get items out of the cart.
Step 7 : Proceed to pay and Place the order
Fill out the form with your name, email, mailing address (if required), and your payment card type and number, etc. Click the last button (Place order). Payment can be made via many modes depending on the website. Most prefer CASH ON DELIVERY (COD) as it is the safest option as you will pay the money after receiving the product. Track the shipment as needed.
Step 8 : Receive the product
The ordered goods will be delivered within the stipulated time period. Receive it, collect the product. Use it to the best possible way.
At first your shopping experiences sometimes will take days, and then hours, as you carefully move from step to step. With time, you will have much more confidence in digital shopping and will become a smart, confident Power Shopper.
So friends don’t hesitate to buy your 1st product online.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

The season is royalé all around. Its the month of October and we all know that its vacation time. Many exams concluded just recently and even election results are out. More importantly the festival of lights, 'Diwali ' has arrived . I am not writing this piece to tell something about the festival, that may be known here. There are many more things to Diwali this year.

From the 3rd week of October, our nation will be enlightened. Happiness and prosperity will prevail all over. Many labourers and officers will be getting their much awaited Diwali bonus. These bonuses will ensure that their families will have a joyful festival. Renovation and cleaning has been going on in homes and offices to give them a clean look.

Festival shopping has also taken a huge leap this year. Consumers are rallying behind online e-commerce sites instead of our very own baniyas. Taboos have been eradicated and nowadays, everyone is favorable with e-tailers Companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Indiatimes are taking the market to a whole new level. (An example is the 'Flipkart Big Billion Day Sale on 6th October 2014). Good delivery options and better product pricing have facilitated its use.

Exchange of greetings and sweets are on, Dhanteras shopping is on track, Brothers & Sisters are celebrating Bhaubheej and some communities are welcoming their new year. Surely, There's a whole lot going on. Be safe, go green, celebrate in an illuminated way.
 HAPPY DIWALI
