REVOLUTIONALIZE EDUCATION

Hi Friends, this is Suman Pandit, student of Electronics Engineering, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Mumbai. I have an appetite for research, innovation and entrepreneurship. In the coming days, the blog on which your sight is will feature articles ranging from sports, technology, music, art, social issues, etc. The topic for today is Education.
Education is one of the most important aspects of a human being’s life. It is a process which begins from the birth of a person and continues for his lifetime. Education is responsible for the growth of many nations and communities.
Our Country, India has a population of over 1.2 billion (which is the 2nd largest in the world). It has more youths of the age 18-30 than any other country in the world. But still, it is a developing country. The main reason for this is illiteracy and unemployable graduates. In India, people are qualified, but not educated.
For education to be complete, “skill” is the basic requirement. Even if you study for 6 years, get a graduate degree and certification, but are nor skilled, the individual’s education is of no use. Indian universities do not rank in top 100 in QS rankings. This is due to the emphasis on theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge. Students must be more focused on applications of whatever they learn.
“We need to produce more Phunsukh Wangdus NOT Chaturs”
From ancient decades, India has been the hub of learning. The inventions of ZERO, Vedic Maths have created an impact worldwide. This implies that our potential cannot be underestimated. It is the need of the hour that we rise above our shells and make progress. Giving attention towards the reforms of the present education system, more priority should be given to inventions, innovations and talent.
Education is important not only for the development of an individual but also the nation. Every person is something special. Never undermine your abilities. Hardwork and determination will surely lead to success.
