The World After 200 years

      

          The world nowadays is a better place to live, isn’t it? All the new age technology, mind-boggling activities, the progress in the field of medicine, the way we learn and many things more have made human life so very comfortable and stylish. We currently are in the 21^st century going well. But when have coffee on a bright Sunday morning, have you ever taught how the world will look like after two centuries. The first thought that comes to our mind is that will human race exist or will we become another non-existent era. Humans have always worshipped history right from times immemorial. We know how Alexander, the great captured kingdoms and developed a dynasty and the struggles for independence of various countries and even the movements that have taken place decades or centuries ago. We have learnt and studied history as a subject. But have we ever thought what will happen in the future. There’s no subject to study that. Below I have scripted some of the ways in my opinion on how the world will shape up after two centuries.

            In this article, we shall focus on various aspects like climate, society, technology, civilizations, and other invaluable elements of life. Firstly, how will the global climate shape its behaviour in the coming years? We have obviously seen the effects of environmental

destruction caused by the earth through various calamities. Global warming, El Nino, tsunamis are only a few to name. Recently, we have seen the devastating effect of the Nepal earthquake which has claimed many lives. This has given rise to issues like sustainable development to be taken up at UN talks. Another aspect of importance will be the society. It is still a question whether man will be able to live with the same peace & harmony as it is at this point of time. Many cold wars are taking place in various parts of the world. Many nations are at war point and with the inventions like the nuclear weapons and other missiles; it is only a matter of days that societies get destroyed. Hence, it has become the need of the hour that we promote global peace and help maintaining it.

            Nowadays, we learn through the internet and the YouTube. It is surely a rewarding experience in the learning field. Many underprivileged get to study at the ease of their homes. This shall only progress in the coming years, giving that the internet is fairly utilized and net neutrality being evident. The internet in the coming years will have one of the most powerful impact in the next century and further ones. It does depend on us how we tend to use it. As most Sci-fi movies predict, the new world will surely be a futuristic one. Robotics, Cloud computing and genetic engineering will make landmark progresses in the field of science and technology. The way people do their household chores will change with home automation coming up. E-commerce will gain the biggest momentum. Innovations in biotechnology will make the life of paralysed better. Computers and laptops will be solely based on the gestures we do and will unthinkably faster. The only vehicles available would be driverless. And you never know, we could even be spending our honeymoons and vacations in Antarctica and on other extra-terrestrial planets. The ways technology will influence your life in the next two centuries can be only left to your imagination.

In the next 200 years, life is going to be more artificial than natural. The cause and effect will be solely based on what we humans do in the current regime. So, let’s hope that whatever we do in our lifetime doesn’t have a negative impact on the lives of or future generations. Let’s take a pledge to make our beloved earth disaster-free, peaceful, and innovative.
