THE OS SHOOT-OUT

THE OS SHOOT-OUT

Today's article will be related very closely to all my dear friends. Smart phone has become an integral part of our daily lives.  We use smartphone everywhere from home to office schools and colleges. Due to extensive use it is necessary that we know about the operating system of our smartphones. Gone are the days when we used feature phones with limited os and few personalized options.  The mobile operating systems today have a variety of features. Below I have tried to list out 3 popular operating systems - android,  ios and windows.  It is difficult to take out the best however I have tried to collect information on the basis of user reviews. There is a remarkable shootout going on in the digital world.

ANDROID

Android is a mobile operating system (OS) based on the Linux kernel and currently developed by Google. Android is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Android is the most widely used mobile OS in the world and, as of October 2014, the highest selling OS overall. Android devices sell more than Windows, iOS, and Mac OS X devices combined. Applications ("apps"), that extend the functionality of devices, are developed primarily in the Java programming language using the Android software development kit (SDK). A huge number of apps developed by 3rd party developers have facilitated its use. Google Play Store is the primary application store installed on Android devices that comply with Google's compatibility requirements and license the Google Mobile Services software. The play store has proved to be a boon for gamers and entry level users. The themes can be customized in every possible way and give the phone a unique look. Any person who uses Android becomes addicted to it. Android uses Multitasking quite efficiently. Most Smartphone manufacturers are releasing their flagships based on Android. This OS gets the most number of updates in a calendar year. The latest version LOLLIPOP 5.0 has caught many eyebrows. Android has constantly evolved to the most favourite OS among consumers and keeps on spreading its wings.

Overview of Home Screens

WINDOWS PHONE

Microsoft's Windows Phone was met with rave reviews from day one of its launch back in late 2010, but despite its beautiful and smooth UI it hasn't caught up with users. One way or another, part of the blame for this was some immaturity of the platform - multitasking arrived later and it was very limited, the apps weren't there, customization was somewhat limited, and the list just went on and on. Windows has been the most popular desktop OS over the years.Start Screen which can be customized according to taste. Although Windows Phone does not support the name wallpaper, but the Start Screen filled with Live Tiles enough to spoil the users who use it.  Application updates a little bit longer than the other OS. Because users of Windows Phone fairly far less than Android and iOS, the developers usually will put in a second application update OS from Google and Apple, then update to Windows Phone 8 will be issued. It is the most colourful OS among all and just starting to attract audiences Although Microsoft  has a lot of work to do.

iOS

iOS is the foundation of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It comes with a collection of apps that let you do the everyday things, and the not-so-everyday things, in ways that are intuitive, simple and fun. iOS 8 comes with big updates to apps you use every day, like Messages and Photos. A whole new way to share content with your family and exciting new connections between apps and between devices, all that and more make iOS 8 the biggest iOS release ever. iCloud is built into iOS. It makes sure your devices always have the latest versions of your documents, apps, contacts and more. It even helps you track lost devices. On the whole ,this Apple product is awesome just like the others. Everyone gets eager to get hands on it as soon as a new version is launched. However its affordability among middle-class users is an issue.

So….what are you waiting for select your favourite smartphone OS and use it to the full extent.
Select what you want
