Xiaomi is
back. The company which blew up minds with the sales of Redmi 1S and Mi3 has
launched another splendid smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Note. Let’s have a look at
the smartphone and it’s specifications.
PROCESSOR
Xiaomi
Redmi Note has a MTK 8-core processor with a speed of 1.7GHz. It provides 78%
higher processing performance than Quad-core MT6589T. Cortex-A7 architecture
individually allocates tasks to each core, reducing power usage and heat. Heavy
graphic games and apps run smoothly. Also it has a Mali-450 GPU for better graphics performance.
DISPLAY
Redmi Note
includes a stunning 5.5” HD IPS display. Games, ebooks, and videos, are
vibrant, clear, and bigger than ever. The 178° in-plane switching (IPS)
technology delivers stunning colour consistency from almost any angle. Images are
also least affected by glare.

CAMERA
It features
a 13MP rear facing camera and 5MP front facing camera for selfie addicts. A 28 mm
wide-angle lens lets you capture more with each shot. Redmi's ƒ/2.2 aperture
and 28mm wide angle lens let you focus in on objects in the foreground of your
shot, while softly blurring objects in the background. Shooting photos from
this smartphone will be a photographer’s delight.
ANDROID
This dual
SIM smartphone features the older Android 4.2 Jelly bean OS with MIUI which
comes as a huge surprise. However an update should be provided soon.
MEMORY
Redmi Note
has 2GB RAM and an internal storage of8GB. The storage can be extended up to
32GB via a microSD card.
BATTERY
The
smartphone has a 3100 mAh battery which is quite optimum for its large 5.5” HD
screen. It is also coupled with Xiaomi’s latest power management technologies.
PRICE
This is the
most interesting feature. Xiaomi Redmi Note is priced at Rs. 8,999/- and Xiaomi
Redmi Note 4G has a price of Rs. 9,999/- It is available exclusively available
at Flipkart from 1st December.
