LENOVO K3 NOTE - THE BIG REVIEW

Lenovo has recently been on a roll in the smartphone market. Even after purchasing Motorola from Google, it has been concentrating on building its brand further with A6000, A7000 and Vibe series. Lenovo is now keen to strengthen its foothold on the 4G budget smartphone segment. With its latest release, Lenovo K3 Note, the aim is clearly to take down rivals such as Xiaomi and Micromax. Let’s have a look at its features and specifications.

PROCESSOR
Lenovo K3 Note is powered by a 1.7GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor, supported by graphics processor MALI T760 GPU. K3 note also has 2GB RAM which clearly means powerful performance.

DISPLAY & DESIGN
Lenovo K3 Note carries forward the welcome trend with a look and finish that is worthy of a more expensive smartphone. The K3 Note looks very similar to the Lenovo A7000. In fact, the two share the same design and dimensions (152.6x76.2x7.99mm) though the K3 Note is slightly heavier (10grams).
With the K3 Note, Lenovo is obviously going after those who prefer a big screen experience. Until now, if you wanted to buy a phablet but were on a tight budget, you had to put up with a display with low pixel density. By providing a full-HD panel on the 5.5-inch display, Lenovo has eliminated the need for this compromise. The display on the K3 Note looks sharp when compared to smartphones of a similar size and price bracket. The colour reproduction and viewing angles were satisfactory and outdoor visibility under soft, natural light was quite good as well. Lenovo K3 Note will be offered in Onyx Black, Pearl White, and Laser Yellow colour variants

CAMERA
The 13MP camera lens and dual-LED flash are placed towards the upper portion of the back. The 5MP front camera is well equipped for video calling as well as taking selfies.

SOFTWARE
On the software front, The K3 Note runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and features Lenovo's Vibe UI skin on top and comes with Lenovo's utility apps. It also includes support for gestures like double tap to unlock.
The phone's default UI is devoid of an app drawer and app icons and widgets are spread across the home screens. The unified home screen-app launcher style may come across as user-friendly to people who have not used an Android phone before, the latter is highly thoughtful though.

MEMORY
The phone comes with 16GB internal storage and a micro SD card slot for expansion up to 32GB.

BATTERY
The back cover wraps around the front panel and hides the 3000mAh battery (removable), two micro sim card slots and a micro SD card slot. It's worth pointing out that the phone's second sim card slot does not support 3G or 4G connectivity. Lenovo is always well known to provide excellent battery in its smartphones. The K3 note doesn’t disappoint on this front.

PRICE
At Rs. 9,999/- the company couldn’t have given any better price. Lenovo K3 note is available exclusively on Flipkart via flash sales. You need to register beforehand in order to purchase it.

Lenovo K3 Note is a worthy upgrade to its own predecessor A7000. For the price, it offers a better display, better processor, double the storage and a good rear camera. Go for it if you an excellent powerhouse smartphone at a bargaining price!
