                 The only thing that makes people unite across the world unite is sport. Today’s article focuses on a sport known as the beautiful game, Football. It is a moment of pride and honour as I state that the Indian Super League (ISL) starts in a few days.

                While you may guess why I am exaggerating about the event so much, friends it is such a moment that will revolutionalize Indian Football. India is currently above 150 in the FIFA rankings. ISL has the capability and the commitment to make such a large country a true footballing nation. Let’s know how…..
What is ISL ??

The Hero Indian Super League is a newly launched professional football league in India (the other one is i-League). The league is founded by IMG-Reliance, Star and AIFF. It will feature 8 franchise teams from all around India. ISL will follow on the footsteps of IPL, Pro Kabaddi League and Hockey India League and follows a similar format.
Euphoria Around a bag of stars
                As soon as the winners of the bidding cities were announced, there was a lot of excitement about the owners of the teams. Indian cricket’s most successful captain, Sourav Ganguly, along with a group of businessmen bought the Kolkata franchise. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar co-owns the Kerala franchise. Meanwhile, John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachhan are the co-owners of Guwahati, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai teams respectively.

                The Indian players will be the stars of the ISL. But, the foreign recruits will be the star attraction and key players. The list includes Alessandro Del Piero, Luis Garcia, Joan Capdevila, Zico, David Trezeguet, Ljungenberg, Mark Silvestre and many more. Gear up to witness these great conquerors of world football in action in India. The franchises also have tie-ups with several European clubs to nuture young talent.
